Tropical plants
Tropical plants, numerous in Reunion Island’s flora, are a second asset. Already know for their aroma or their properties, these plants are accessible on a frech territory to respect your values and your quality policy.
Moringa (Moringa drouhardii, Mringaceae), Curcuma (Curcuma longa, Zingiberaceae), Tamarind (Tamarindus indica, Caesalpiniaceae)
Plants by-products from transformation
By-products of the food sector represent the last major resource of Reunion Island. By-products valorization is the first research axis of Bioval OI, in accordance with our environmentally friendly approach and the actual ecological context. Two of our research projects are based on the valorization of by-products coming from two largely transformed fruits: pineapple and mango.
Strawberry guava (Psidium cattleianum, Myrtacea), passion fruit (Passiflora edulis, Passifloraceae), pineapple Victoria (Ananas comosus Victoria, Bromeliaceae)
