Raw materials

A controlled sourcing for responsible products

Our products are prepared in an eco-responsible way from the harvesting of plant species to the extraction or transformation process. Bioval OI is working with local producers and transformers of the food sector but also with the National Forest Organism (ONF) to assure a reasoned sourcing of by-products or endemic, invasive and tropical plants.

Reunion Islands flora is a true richness that we want to valorize by highlighting the potential of plant species of this island. Bioval OI has a catalog listing more than a hundred raw materials. We are also able to organize the supply of specific raw materials according to your needs.

Plants by-products from transformation

By-products of the food sector represent the last major resource of Reunion Island. By-products valorization is the first research axis of Bioval OI, in accordance with our environmentally friendly approach and the actual ecological context. Two of our research projects are based on the valorization of by-products coming from two largely transformed fruits: pineapple and mango.

Strawberry guava (Psidium cattleianum, Myrtacea), passion fruit (Passiflora edulis, Passifloraceae), pineapple Victoria (Ananas comosus Victoria, Bromeliaceae)
